Birmingham born and bred, artist Jon Jones has kept true to his hometown and artistic genre throughout his career. He explores the dark history of Birmingham through macabre colour palettes and atmospheric figurative works such as the one above.

Deep swathes of black paint are skilfully blended and contrasted with white accents to create detailed and moving masterpieces.
