Signed Limited-Edition Flatbed Giclée on Glass by Dan Lane
Dan Lane returns with a brand-new collection, Chaos and Order, featuring one sculpture and three new limited-edition artworks. Originally created for the artist “Chaos & Order” show, this elegantly portrayed on glass, bold limited edition, was inspired by a quote Dan saw in a graffiti at a skatepark. By breaking a dollar note and making it drift away merging into the heart, the artist suggests that money can’t buy love, representing the eternity of love as opposed to the fragility of money.
The highly popular works have a contemporary, urban edge, but as an artist, Dan is hugely influenced by the creations of the Renaissance and it’s the fusion of the two different styles that make the pieces so special. The dark and thoughtful piece is full of contrasting details, incorporating elements in a balanced way, such as the opposing darkness and gothic representation of money and the more romantic nature of love with the adorning flowers and soft hues of the heart.
Constantly constructing concepts as physical creations, Lane’s development and experimentation methods coupled with his ability to blend thematic elements, results in work that is simultaneously stylistically distinct and ever evolving. This elegantly portrayed on glass, bold limited edition is a statement piece in any room. The limited edition is as unique as the original, printed with expertise that highlights the metallic and silver details, adding depth to the smallest elements like the flowers surrounding the heart and the dollar bill.
