For his Spring 2022 release, acclaimed romantic landscape artist Lawrence Coulson has continued his exploration of scenes inspired by the highlands of Scotland. The blazing tones of ‘The Silent Inferno’ are a backdrop to a couple in awe of the fiery sunset that overpowers them; “lost in the silence of the empty shoreline”. The power of the landscape emphasises the romantic setting and also draws similarities with powerful landscape paintings commended throughout history.
